Thursday, March 20, 2025(Nyamilepedia) — I write to express my anger and disappointment with President Kiir.
Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit as a liberator has abandoned his own army, comrades and soldiers to suffer; and in cahoots with Bol Mel brought UPDF they are paying multi-million dollars. What a distorted thinking is this?
I joined the Movement in 1987. I fought like other comrades thinking when we achieved what we took up arms for, life will be good for all. The current situation has proven me wrong. I left Juba in 2016 and I am now doing my own things to raise my family because Kiir’s leadership has not only failed to meet popular expectations of the people, but also the very cardinal liberation objectives millions lost their lives to achieve. In his own homestead, the people live on wild fruits. There is no food. No security, no functional schools, no health centers. People still use traditional medicines like leaves and roots of tree, and seek healing from the medicine men. Kiir, with his first family, claims to be a Leader. Isnt that an hypocrisy?
What kind of leadership that works to destroy rather than helping others? Yet, people are keeping quiet. Surprisingly, Kiir appointed a con man a VP for economic cluster whose economy he levelled to the ground. It is known all over that this man Bol Mel does not have charismatic leadership qualities and neither career. He was given those honorary ranks because he is a business man without business to run. His only credential is being an ally to first family’s daughter, Adut Mayardit. All could have seen the obvious embarrassment at the funeral of slain Gen. David Majur. He spoke with his head down. His English leaves a lot to be desired despite his bogus claims of holding a PhD. The truth is that the guy is not educated. He is an academic impersonator and mercenary hired by anti-intellectuals to discredit education and cement their stay in the Presidency, ensuring the country remains in the doldrum of decadence.
We, the people of Warrap, do not agree with the grooming of Bol Mel to succeed Kiir. Without a shame, he speaks like a President, giving orders and instructions. Why is not waiting for his boss to die or hand over to him power? Who told him to declare war? Has he read the Constitution really? Bol Mel with a small group of hungry and angry Generals have started to fight the Nuer, indiscriminately bombarding innocent children and women in their sleep in total breach of natural law. He thinks is using UPDF, when instead the envious mercenary foreign force is using him to destroy the country and its social fabric in order to eventually take over and annex the country as the region to its country, Uganda. It is not Kiir who brought these forces. It is Bol Mel taking advantage of Kiir’s ill-health resulting from subsequent indecisiveness. The Jieng will not go to war with the Nuer. Kiir could have handed power over to Nhial Deng or any other Dinka intellectual who would work to reconcile the people. Bol Mel will not enjoy that power. He will end up badly burned to ashes in the hot seat.
Bol Mel has no good track records. He was a refugee. He didn’t fight for this country and has no emotional attachment to war heroes and veterans Kiir has not only neglected, but also who are now equally dying of stress, curable diseases and rendered destitute and penniless. While the first family in the person of Adut and her husband, Bol Mel is swimming in the grandeurs of immense State resources. Does Kiir know he is subjecting his family and followers to a situation they will not be able to come out of? The Dinka and the Nuer are not enemies. It is the regime of Kiir that is using tribes to tighten grips on and maintain power. Now, with the unfolding events, Kiir has already taken the country back to war.
It is only God that will rescue the people of South Sudan. Bol Mel, a dangerous con man who is not qualified for the Presidency, must be resisted at all costs.
The Dinka and the Nuer who are inciting the situation in the social media are doing what they don’t know. How can you fight for a government that doesn’t serve you?
Do not be blindfolded by tribalism? It will not lead you anywhere but destruction and death. Even then, as Dinka community, don’t you think Kiir is more of an enemy to you than to Nuer and other South Sudanese? All that Kiir is doing nastily will eventually backfire on us, leading to our relegation to the prephery of public affairs indefinitely and perhaps in worst case expulsion from this country when no Dinka is in power including Kiir himself.
My advice is that let us all South Sudanese people unite as one to resist this tyrannical regime of Kiir and Bol Mel. Since all the people are not happy with Kiir and Bol Mel. Dinka are suffering more than the rest of the people, but keeping quiet because they are living in an illusion of incumbency.
The other leakage is that Kiir wants to eliminate Riek Machar by all means. You can now that he has dismantled the R-ARCSS. He doesn’t know that this can have diasterous consequences for generations to come against his own children, grandchildren and the whole Dinka community. Never think of relying on old men such Kuol Manyang and Awet Akot to liberate you from this heartless animal called Kiir. These confused old men, Kuol Manyang and Daniel Awet have been compromised with money. They can’t say anything to Kiir. Those who speak out against this situation are labelled as enemies and rebels. I want to advise the people across this country that there is no enmity between the Dinka and the Nuer. Your arch enemy is Kiir and his would-be successor Bol Mel.
Gear up to resist them. They cannot destroy this country where millions lives were sacrificed, with other thousands living with no limbs or having lost parts of their bodies. Kiir and Bol Mel are setting tribes against themselves to fight their war. They will not succeed.
