Nov 5, 2021 — I am moved to write this article because of number of concerns. These concerns are the things that affects children, women and even men. The concerns have lasted for many years and no one cares about them. What repeats themselves are things that are rooted in the minds of the people that made them to be like bewitched people but the truth is that repeated things sink deep into the brain and the life of the actors.

In the case of Sudan the chronic problems are coups, military take over and wars. These coups, military take overs and wars made children, woman and men to suffer and lost lives. There was no good history of democracy and peaceful hand over of government from one leader to another in Sudan. Everyone in power used gun to get into power and another one takes it out using gun power. The military thinks that what was happening up to today is the right way of leadership. In reality there hasn’t been good leadership in Sudan from Ibrahim About to you Abdel Fattah Al Burhan. Look into this list of military behavior in Sudan as below:

  1. Ibrahim Abbout took over the government by power and ruled from 17 November 1956 – 16 November1964
  2. Sirr Al Khatim Al Khalifa took over and ruled for only 17 days (16 November to 3rd December 1964
  3. Ismail Al Azhari took over on 3rd December 2964 – 25 May 1969
  4. Jaafar Mohamed Nimeri took over on 25 May 2969 – 10 October 1985
  5. Abdel Rahman Swar Al Dahab took over on the 10 October 1985 – 6 August 1986
  6. Sadiq Al Mahady took over on 6 August 1986 – 30 June 1989
  7. Omar Al Bashir took over on 30 June 1989 – 11 April 2019. He had cover up military elections to keep him in power until he was deposed.
  8. Ahmed Awad Ibn Auf took over for one day 11 April 2019
  9. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan took over on 12 April 3019 to 20 August 2019
  10. The sovereignty council headed by prime minister was set up on 20 August 2019 – 25 October 2021
  11. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan took over on 25 October 2021 to date.

All these military coups and take over killed many but non of the children, women and men from the actors lost a single life. They enjoy and keep repeating this to inflict suffering, death and  destruction on people’s properties. The best type of leadership was absent in the minds of the military up to today. Civilians, civil society organizations, religious groups, African Union and the international community call for civilian led government because it is based on peaceful process and harmless ways of taking and giving power to another leader. If you can accept peace in the country and love people as you love your own children or as you love yourself, you are to hand over the power to civilian rule and rewrite the Constitution of Sudan in a way that no one can.change it for leaders to be elected by the people in fair, peaceful democratic process. If you do this, you will be the excellent leader among all the leaders who ruled before you. This is the best change you can bring if you want to change history from bad to good. Everyone is good only if one can commit to do the best. I wish you to do the best and change military coups and take overs to peaceful democratic harmless election. You will be loved by everyone on earth and by angels and God in heaven. Farewell.
