May 14, 2021 — I would like to register my loyal appreciation to you for the expansion and reconstitution of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (R-TNLA) which took place on May 10, 2021. It was a lengthy process that was supposed to be effective simultaneously with the formation of the Cabinet of transitional government which happened in 2020.

This step is paramount and applauded by the South Sudanese populace due to its significance in the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement on the resolution of conflict in the Republic of South Sudan (R-ARCSS) signed in 2018.

I am taking this opportunity to congratulate you as the Head of State and Government on my personal capacity and on behalf of the people of Unity State and Leer County in particular which I am representing for your courage and political will in seeing into it that the peace prevails in our war torn country South Sudan for our people to rebuild their livelihoods from the shattered hopes which has been caused by the war in 2013.

On the other hand, I am commenting on the role played by principals of peace signatories by demonstrating their commitments toward the revitalized peace agreement on the resolution of conflict in the Republic of South Sudan implementation (R-ARCSS).

I am also very grateful for my party the SPLM and those who stand by me in making sure I retain my seat back to the Reconstituted and expanded Transitional National Legislative Assembly (R-TNLA).

I thank those who embraced, nurtured and bought the idea of giving me a chance to R-TNLA and the whole team whose names couldn’t be mentioned here but I preserve them in my diary book.

I can assure to you my president that I will deliver the services needed by my constituency in line with SPLM vision and mission to construct a free, peaceful and prosperous South Sudan on the basis of the principles of a just, fair and secular democratic system of governance where all citizens are stakeholders in managing national affairs irrespective of their race, religion, culture, ethnicity or gender.

In furtherance, I considered and recognized the efforts played by each and every one in supporting and congratulating me.

As I am embarking on this noble task with the support of your government, we shall engage in planning for the mobilization of necessary resources that could ease the reallocation of IDPs and repatriation of refugees to their places of origin for restoring their livelihoods.

Henceforth, as it was mentioned from the recently concluded National Dialogue (ND) which you spearheaded, our people are yearning for peace, reconciliation, and healing. We must all work together to make it a reality.

Thank you.
