Oct. 29, 2016(Nyamilepedia) ——- The visit of Members of Parliamentary (MPs) of Kenya is an insult on democracy in the region and Africa. For Kenya MPs to campaign against a democratic opposition leader, Dr Riek Machar, who has been struggling for independent of his country and democratic change against a centralized dictatorship and tribalism in South Sudan, by a Tyrant dictator, President Kiir Mayardit, and his Jieng Council of Elders (JCE) is not only an insult on South Sudanese people but also insult on African democracy.
This will be the first time for politicians to across borders, in violation of another country’s sovereignty and integrity to go and lobby for one-sided political changes in a different country. For Kenya to do this, that has to be enough evidence that their current president was not in the International Crime Court recently for inciting violence after election in his country in 2007 and there has to be enough evidence that Kenya is democratically stable to outsources its political stability to other countries. Failure to do this, means that this political campaign is financially motivated to reap off South Sudan’s illiterate dictator, president Salva Kiir and his tribal groups struggling to monopolize power in that country.

This group of members of Parliament of The Republic of Kenya have decided to visit South Sudan on November 2nd, 2016. The group’s mission is to lobby to ban Dr. Riek Machar Teny and to confiscate his assets, if any, based on the latest report by Sentry of George Cooley. The Sentry Report mentioned many individuals and on top of the list is the Dictator Salva Kiir himself, including generals in the SPLA army. Although Dr. Riek was part of Dictator Kiir’s corrupt government at the time, Dr Riek has denied being part of tribalized corruption of Kiir and his relatives. Everybody in South Sudan can testify and will agree with me on this.
It is alleged in the “report that Dr. Riek Machar has property worth millions of dollars” and this is what motivate this greedy MPs, who want to get rich quickly through foreign assets. Unfortunately, Dr. Riek has zero assets in Kenya. If these MPs want to confiscate assets on Kenyan soil because the money belong to the people of the South Sudan, then they must seize property of Salva Kiir and his Dinka generals and politicians. These are the people who have looted the country.
The group of MPs suggested that they want part of Machar’s family to be evicted but to our knowledge only a rented home is in Nairobi and that is the only property known to being rented by Dr Riek’s family.
The report of George Clooney could have indicated and educated a very important area of a disastrous’ misconduct in South Sudan, and that might have helped people who wish to record and correct such misconducts, the mishandling, mismanagement and embezzlement of public funds by leaders in South Sudan.
But the Sentry group had tainted the report by adding the name of Dr. Riek Machar in the list equally with the rest including the top corrupt dictator. Everyone in South Sudan during those 8 years was aware that Dr Riek was in government and leading the campaign against corruption, and promotion for peace and democracy, reconciliation for the people of South Sudan from the grassroots.
Machar is a peace loving person. He initiated and delegated late Professor Wal Duany for the campaign of Wunlit Peace Reconciliation Conference 1998 between Nuer (Naath) and the Dinka (Jieng) in Bar El Gazel, he negotiated the Merger between SPLM/A of Dr John Garang de Mabior and SPDF led by himself in Jan 2001. He initiated the reconciliation between Cdr. Salva Kiir Mayardit and Dr John Garang de Mabior in Rumbek Nov 29-Dec. 1, 2004 when Salva Kiir rebelled the movement at the last minute.
The MPs of Kenya must be very careful because South Sudan has been turned into a killing zone by Salva Kiir because of his lack of rule of law and democratic ideals. Instead he uses presidential decrees like those of Hitler of Germany. They should not visit a country where the President despise the constitutions and acts unconstitutionally which is now becoming a culture of practice in South Sudan.
The sovereignty they are talking about in South Sudan is President Salva Kiir and his JCE, he is unfortunately above the law of the country, appointing everything by decree including unclassified workers to senior places, i.e. a private soldier to a rank of general in the army or police shifting generals from the army to police services, appointing none law graduates to Judicature or advocates in the legal affairs. The Kenyans are visiting a country where there is no law and order. The night they will spend in Juba, they will be surprise by unknown gunmen shooting people at night, and the unknown gunmen are those who are using governmental military and police hardware, like the helicopter gunships, armour vehicles, all types of guns are being use by these unknown gunmen. The unknown gunmen happened to take their orders from a known man, and that is the President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Gen. Malong Awan.
An elected parliament of Kenya debated the report of Sentry of George Clooney of a corrupt country like South Sudan, perhaps because it could not be debated in the Parliament of South Sudan, first, there is no way such thing can be debated in the Parliament of South Sudan, secondly, the president of the country is a leading figure in the report by the parliament to debate or discuss anything about it will be out of order, because the order is not to question the President, the order of the parliament is to implement and pass what decrees issued by the president who operates thoughts and ideology of the Jieng Council of Elders which is the real parliament of South Sudan, which is not people’s representative perhaps like Kenyans parliament. The South Sudan Parliament can never be in that position to debating or discussing the report of Sentry of George Clooney, but creation of an ethnic Land in South Sudan.
My advice to the Kenyan MPs is to promote peace in South Sudan by supporting the IGAD PLUS ‘The Compromise Proposed Peace Agreement (CPPA) signed in August 2015. The SPM/A-IO position is not to go back to war, but on self-defence and asking the IGAD-PLUS, AU, UN, EU and the TROIKA to revitalised and resuscitate the CPPA so that the Kenyan MPs don’t go to Juba to create a precedent deserted government led by President Salva Kiir and his JCE, which will be very embarrassing for the MPs and the people they represent.
