Is unity possible or impossible in South Sudan?

August 8, 2015 (Nyamilepedia)—As for me, I see it’s impossible at the moment because of the concepts and ideologies which are rooted in the minds and hearts of southerners without distinguishing level of education obtained by the South Sudanese. They seem to forget who they are and their root historically, culturally, economically and politically, I don’t think there is a southern who can accept the present welfare and future life without reflecting on his or her past which was painful, dark and inhuman. Your present life is meaningless if it doesn’t base on the past life, likewise, your future life is hopeless if it doesn’t launch from the present one.

You see our lives have got three dimensions (past, present and future), we cannot build a nation base on today needs and necessities, but the entire aspects have to be included. One party has got nothing to do with the unity of South Sudan people, One group has got nothing to do with the unity of South Sudan people, One tribe has got nothing to do with the unity of South Sudan people, Unity of the people of South Sudan is the responsibility of the people of South Sudan without exception and exclusion.

I know and we all know that there are wicked people among us and enemies who are trying very hard to dissect, desolate, demolish, destroy and eradicate the good spirit of the people of South Sudan witnessed over fifty years of social, economical, cultural and political injustice, oppression, marginalization and militarization while Sudan was still one state, but not united because the concepts of unity was gauged in a wrong way based on negative social and cultural understandings instead of … what can unite us isn’t yet designed and created, but we can start designing and creating it as from now onward.

Let’s do something well scheme, plan and study so as to splash and plash bright. It’s not one person, one group, one tribe and one party business, but its commonalty approach, all are must engulf and indulge thoughts and ideologies cannot unite us at all whatsoever; ge into its calculation and measurement The list can go up to, yet nothing in South Sudan can unite us at all if just taken from the political perspectives, which overall negative and wicked because our leaders and politicians are still selfless, short sighted in vision and mission, tribal, nepotism, favoritism and war mongers.

Dinka thoughts and ideologies cannot unite us at all whatsoever; Nuer thoughts and ideologies cannot unite us at all whatsoever; Shuluk thoughts and ideologies cannot unite us at all whatsoever; Mhadi thoughts and ideologies cannot unite us atoll whatsoever; Lotoko thoughts and ideologies cannot unite us at all whatsoever; Zande thoughts and ideologies cannot unite us at all whatsoever; Balanda thoughts and ideologies cannot unite us at all whatsoever; Bari thoughts and ideologies cannot unite us at all whatsoever.

And whatsoever thoughts and ideologies cannot unite us at all. Here we should then ask ourselves, what can unite us then? Digging Jungle Canal is much easier than building, creating and searching for unity. Constructing a dam is much easier than building, creating and searching for unity. Transforming Capital from Juba to any other places is the easiest thing to agree upon and executing the plan out than searching, building and achieving unity in South Sudan. Even the referendum and voting for the secession was much easier than living in unity, harmony and understanding in the South Sudan.

Late John Garang once said that Islam cannot unite us, Christianity cannot unite us, but Sudanism can and nationalism John Granag can. Likewise for those of you who fluctuating Tribalism cannot unite us, nepotism cannot unite us, favoritism cannot unite grouping cannot unite us, parties and divisions cannot unite us, Dinka ideologies cannot unite us, Nuer ideologies cannot unite Bari ideologies cannot unite and SPLM/A cannot unite and South Sudan by itself as a name and a state cannot unite.

So what can unite us isn’t yet designed and created, but we can start designing and creating it as from now onward. Let’s do something well scheme, plan and study so as to splash and plash bright.

YES HENRY, IT IS POSSIBLE. SIMPLY, AS IT MAY BE, THE DRUMS OF UNITY AMONGST THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH SUDAN MUST BE HEARD FROM ALL THE 64 TRIBES OF THE REPUBLIC LOUDER AND LOUDER. POLITICIANS, DON’T MATTER,THE SPLA IS IRRELEVANT,THE EDUCATED ARE THIEVES, THE ORGANIZED FORCES ARE DOGS OF WAR BUT,THE MASSES OF SOUTH SUDAN ARE HEROES OF THE LAND. TODAY IN ADDIS ABABA, THEY ARE NEGOTIATING ABOUT POSITIONS OR DIVIDING THE CAKE TO THEMSELVES. THEY DON’T NEGOTIATE ABOUT DEVELOPMENT SINCE THEY HAVE POCKETED THE RESOURCES OF THE LAND AND. SO WHAT IS LEFT, SKELETONS OF THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE SHOWN IN THIS ARTICLE. THE REMIND ME OF THE CONCENTRATION CAMPS IN DURING THE HOLOCAUST OF THE NAZI, THE LABOR CAMP S IN CAMBODIA DURING POLPOT REGIME. EVEN THE MOST RECENT GENOCIDE IN BOSNIA,IS QUITE FRESH IN OUR MINDS. CAN SOUTH SUDAN BE LEFT AND BE WATCHED AS IT SINKS TO DUST IN THIS CENTURY. ? PLEASE LET US WAKE UP. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH PEOPLE. YOU IN THE DIASPORA, ARE YOU LISTENING? LET’S CONTACT OUR CONGRESSMAN NOW, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? OUR PEOPLE ARE WAITING. LET’S ACT NOOOOOOW!
