Oct 25, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— The United Nations, friends of the South Sudan and the entire International Community should by now known that they have been dealing with dishonest people when it comes to the issues related to the South Sudan. Take the case of the Sudan rebels that have been fighting SPLM-IO along side the SPLA since the war broke in South Sudan in 2013.

While the government of Salva Kiir is on records for denying the presence of the Sudan rebels such as JEM in the South Sudan, people like the Minister of Information, Michael Makuei Lueth, Presidential Spokeman, Ateny Wek Ateny are saying the opposite while the Minister of Defence, Kuol Manyany Juuk publicly admitted that they have given 30 days for the Sudan rebels to leave the South Sudan within 30 days. Who are those rebels then?

Surprisingly, Kuol Manyang Juuk is trying to link the withdrawal of the Sudan rebels with the humanitarian assistance extended to the SPLM-IO, Dr. Riek Machar to receive treatment in Khartoum following his evacuation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). SPLM-IO has no forces in Sudan as we all know and linking the two will not help them when it come to the demand of Khartoum concerning the rebels that have been launching their attacks against Sudan from their bases inside South Sudan.

I have never known anywhere in the world for people working in the same government engage in issuing  conflicting statements such as the one witnessed in recent days coming from those defending the government of Salva Kiir without shame. Lack of consistency and coherent approach in dealing with the crisis in South Sudan from senior officials of the government of Salva Kiir has some bearing on the reasons why it is difficult to find a political settlement unless the United Nations, friends of South Sudan and the International Community change their approach in dealing with the regime in Juba.

Another dishonest and lies shown by the regime in Juba was during the visit of the United Nations Security Council members led by the United States Ambassador to the UN Ms Samantha Power. While in Juba Salva Kiir agreed and consented to the deployment of the 4,000 forces to Juba without further delay, but as soon as the United Nations Security Council members left Juba and even before they could land  in Addis Ababa, the government ordered Dr. Martin Elia Lumoro to organised a press conference to tell their constituents that the government did not agree to the deployment of the 4,000 forces as reported by the media. They did not stop there, but further went round and some time say that they do not want the forces to come from the region, meaning Uganda, Kenya, Sudan, Rwanda etc.

When you look at the sequence of events in the South Sudan, one can easily say that it is the International Community that is encouraging Juba to continue with their intrangsigent behaviours. Salva Kiir need to be isolated including mass withdrawal of Ambassadors and their Foreign Missions from the South Sudan. In reality they have nothing to represent in Juba, because the government is not implementing anything that is discussed by the diplomats that are acredited to represent their countries.
