Zimbabwe’s former president Robert Mugabe dies in Singapore aged 95

September 6th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has died in a Singapore hospital aged 95, government in Harare said.

Mugabe was ousted by his ex-deputy Emmerson Mnangangwa who was assisted by the military in 2017 ending his 37 years of dictatorship which led to an international isolation for the country.

Mugabe died in Singapore, where he has often received medical treatment in recent years, a source with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

His death was announced on Twitter by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“It is with the utmost sadness that I announce the passing on of Zimbabwe’s founding father and former President, Cde Robert Mugabe,” he said on Twitter.
