March 3rd 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – The former governor of South Sudan’s defunct Boma state, David Yau Yau, has threatened to take military action against Lou-Nuer armed youth who are fighting their counterparts from the Murle tribe.
This comes days after the Lou-Nuer youth launched a counter-offensive against Murle youth who have been attacking several villages in Greater Akobo kidnapping children, women and raiding cattle.
Speaking during a meeting with South Sudan’s army chief Gen. Jok Riak, Yau Yau said there was an hidden agenda behind the attack by Lou-Nuer youth and so, a military response by him was imminent.
“We have understand that there is an hidden agenda in this attack by Lou-Nuer youth. These are the army in civilian uniform,” Yau Yau said.
“We will take the necessary steps to protect out people even if this would mean military action from Pibor,” Yau Yau said.
