December 3rd 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The deputy chairman of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement North (SPLM-N) Yasir Saed Arman has called for unity between Sudan and South Sudan.
South Sudan seceded from Sudan in July 2011 becoming the world’s youngest nation. It took with it 75% of the former Sudan’s oil.
Speaking during a press conference held in the Sudanese Khartoum on Monday, Arman said there is need for unity between Sudan and South Sudan.
“There is need for a unity between Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan. We do not necessarily need to be one country but let me remind you for the need for Sudanese unity. We can still be two separate country with united people,” he said.
