Witchcraft who claim peace will never come to South Sudan killed by refugees in Uganda

August 9th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – A witchcraft in norther Uganda refugee camp has been killed by South Sudanese refugees after reportedly claiming that peace will never come to South Sudan as it is written in the Bible, the police and several refugees sources have said.

The Adjumani district Police Commander Maundo Jackson said the woman had been accused of claiming to be preacher when she was actually practicing witchcraft according to South Sudanese refugees confirming that the woman as results was stoned to death.

The refugees grew angry after the unnamed local woman said peace would never come to South Sudan as written in the Bible.

“The community called for a meeting concerning that woman that she was saved but she was performing witchcraft,” said Cdr Jackson.

Jackson further said as the community gathered to address the issue, the meeting turned rowdy and the woman was beaten to death.

“The police arrived trying to disperse the people but they were also stoning the police. Then by the time the woman was rescued, she passed away at the scene,” he further said adding that no arrests have been made so far but investigations into the matter have started
