What netizens say upon Mabior Garang’s return would blow your mind!

Oct 31, 2021 — The return of the former SPLM/A-IO National Chairman of Information and Public Relations, former national minister of water and irrigation and former deputy minister of interior, Captain Mabior Garang de Mabior, at the invitation of president Salva Kiir Mayardit, has generated heated debates, trolls and criticisms on social media.

“But let them take him to that place of Juju, if he is unable to stop smoking weed, he has totally lost the weight even he look like Juba street dogs.” said Kom Mawien Angok

While many expressed their bitterness and condemnations, criticizing Mabior for his controversial defections and unapologetic opinions, a good number warmly welcomed his return and advise him to follow his father’s footsteps this time, something Mabior would argue he has been doing.

On one hand, while some netizens trolled him for his physical appearance, some just don’t approve his political worldviews.

“Weed can thinner thinner you until you disappear meanwhile he look like Dr. Riak Machar; can we demand an explanation from Nyandeng Garang or we believe in new world?”Boss Tigaah said

“let him go back to nairobi that is their homeland. we are very peaceful people but they come to confuse us.” Akot Maror Akot added.

Although Mabior has been a staunch supporter of the SPLM/A-IO, as much as some may argue, some critics never approve his defection to the SPLM/A-IO.

“So Mabior Nyandeng has eventually reunited with his Mum in their Tukul (SPLM IG). I know he was just in temporary hunting expedition. He tried to cause damage on our Luak (as he dubbed SPLM IO), and in fact he left a trail of blood as he woed the warlords with his weird ideas of Kitgwang declaration. But he failed miserably, that is why he quietly resorted to his Mum’s Tukul. I told you Kitgwang’s folks one month ago that this young fellow ((Mabior Garang or Gat Nyandeng) didn’t mean to support you but to drive to abyss. Now he left you in awe. You can swallow the bitter truth and shock with it.” Said Biel Jal Liep.

“truth need to be say Mabior was not defacted from day one but he was an agent to collect more information about opposition he is like others guys who came to join and go back with their fake news”  Tut Kuach Banychieng added.

“It’s hard to predict on how Cde Mabior Nyadeng Garang would explained himself in this situation. But, one thing is certain, the guy is indeed needs our prayers than criticism. Because he’s so sick, and that might be the reason of why he had decided this unexpected reunions with his Mum – JCE…” Simon Chop said.

Some green light at the end of the tunnel.

On the other hand, Mabior got a standing ovation for making a bold decision to return to Kiir led government after nearly 12 years in exile.

“When is Mabior meeting president Kiir? These two families stayed in the bush as relatives ;ate on the same table and did many things together. But poor primitive South Sudanese keep on insulting themselves because of Kiir and Garang families’ difference which are political. If Mabior get sick today,he will get help from Kiir before anyone from Kiir’s payuum clan. I just give up and never shall I compromise my own relationship with anyone because of politics.” said Wol Wol

“patient paid let him take rest here for at least one year otherwise I’m not a part of installing him to next president bcoz he used to work with wild animals” Abraham Malual Thuc added.

“The big brother Mabior Garang has arrived silently. The man who carries 90% of the late father’s vision more than any leaving South Sudanese National whether aged or young. He’s one who should have been in top official if there was genuine system of government that fits holistically.” Djack A. Jale said.

“It is not a Tukul Gatmalen, SM is the party that liberated the country with lots of sacrifices.Nothing wrong with him reconciling with the president because everybody is working with the President” Said Gai Chatiem Puoch

While a large of South Sudanese recognize Mabior on his own portfolio, others sympathize for him for what his late father did during the liberation struggles and wants president Kiir to extend the same hand to sons and daughters of other war heroes.

“He is a great intellectual. Our president always need to look upon the sons and daughters of our fallen heroes by giving them the positions, and I’m sure they can deliver services without corruption or nepotism. We are waiting to see Malang Kharbino kuanyin being invited as well by the president.” Gai Cikom Ayieidit said.

Mabior has been in exile since 2010 over his own grudges with president Salva Kiir. He joined Machar’s led SPLM/A-IO in 2014 for which he served multiple positions including ministerial positions; however, he parted ways with Machar since the chairman accepted to be sworn in as the First Vice President without proper security arrangements.

Mabior recently defected to SPLM/A-IO Kitgwang led by the former Chief of Staff of the SPLM/A-IO 1st. Lt. Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual and Lt. Gen. Johnson Olony; however, the top military leaders do not encourage politics in their faction. This forced those who pledged their allegiance to them to either put on their boots and become soldiers or else forced them to retreat.
