Dec 16, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — The Western Bahr el Ghazal State governor, Hon. Sarah Cleto Rial met and briefed president Salva Kiir on security situation in her state.
According to a statement released by the office of president Salva Kiir, the governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State said the general security situation in her state is calmed and stable.
The statement went on to state that the Governor briefed President Salva Kiir Mayardit about the developmental projects and revenue generating activities her state is undertaking such as the construction of roads and agricultural projects.
To maintain peace and security in the state, governor Cleto said that her administration is working together with the national security personnel.
“Hon. Sarah Cleto said her State Administration is working in collaboration with the Security Sectors to ensure that, the security situation is maintained stable during this festive season,” the statement added.
In addition, Governor Cleto reiterated that her State Administration is working on the construction of roads connecting Western Bahr Ghazal State with the neighboring States as well as carrying out the renovation of the feeder roads and bridges within the State.
The statement further said that the president pledged support to Western Bahr el Ghazal State that will see the projects implemented.
“H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit re-assured Governor Sarah Cleto of his support to Western Bahr el Ghazal State and to ensure that the developmental projects are implemented,” read the statement.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Director in the Office of the President Hon. James Deng Wol.
