The step to sign the long awaited peace road map was to try to find a way in ending the the civil war which has killed thousands of people and displaced millions to foreign countries.
Speaking to reporters in Juba last week, Kip Tom, the United States Ambassador to the UN Agencies in Rome said continuation of the conflict in the world’s youngest nation would means people would rely on aid.
Tom however said the world body do not have the capacity to feed the people of South Sudan forever saying their effort to feed may be limited to a specific time.
“First and foremost, the donors need to put pressure on the government and the people here to say ‘stop your fighting now, we need peace,’ because if we don’t get peace, we will continue to just have to feed people forever,” Tom said.
“….we don’t always have money to do that,” Tom added.
