VP Nyandeng discharged from hospital after goiter surgery.

Juba, South Sudan.

January 1, 2022—South Sudan’s Vice President for Gender and Youth Cluster, H.E Rebecca Nyandeng Garang has been discharged from hospital after she underwent goiter surgery last week.

On 28th of December 2021, the press unit of the vice president announced that VP Nyandeang had successfully undergone through goiter operation.

In a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia, the VP’s press unit revealed that H.E Rebecca Nyandeng Garang has been discharged from hospital after making good progress.

“Following an extensive surgery to remove a large goiter, Vice President, H.E. Rebecca N. de Mabior, was released from the hospital and is making good progress in her recovery”, the statement reads.

According to the statement, Doctors recommend that she takes a lot of rest to ensure a full recovery, but she is back on her feet and feeling stronger by the day.

“We thank all our friends, family and colleagues for their well wishes and words of prayers”, the statement added.
