VP for Gender and Youth Cluster calls on South Sudanese to put God and country in heart.

Juba, South Sudan.

September 4,2021 — The Vice President for Gender and Youth Cluster, Hon. Rebecca Nyadeng Garang de Mabior calls on people of South Sudan to have God and country in heart.

This comes after the South Sudanese Basketball team won against Kenya in Rwanda , a victory that has been celebrated widely across the country and abroad.

In a statement seen by Nyamilepedia, Hon. Nyadeng expresses her appreciation to the South Sudanese Basketball players for their victories and strong representation of the world’s youngest nation, South Sudan. 

“I am very proud of the work of our National Basketball team in their debut performance at the Afrobasket2021 tournament in Rwanda”, she stated in her official page.

“They have put South Sudan on the Map and I hope that their bright stars continue to shine”, she added.

Addressing the media, VP Nyadeng advises People of South Sudan to prioritize God, country and as well as to work together in peaceful coexistence in order to ensure  prosperity in South Sudan.

“There are three things I want you to put into your minds, one is your God, God of South Sudan, second is your Country, patriotism and third is teamwork, these three things, if you have them, these are your shells, they are your ammunition which will support you wherever you go “, Nyadeng said in a record clip.

Rebecca Nyadeng Garang is a widow of the SPLM/A revolutionary leader Late. Dr. John Garang De Mabior. She is the first female to hold the position of the vice president in the country since  South Sudan seceded from the North in 2011.
