Jan 21, 2017(Nyamilepedia) —– Yahya Abdul-Aziz Jemus Junkung Jammeh, the former President of the Gambia, who ruled the small west African country through dictatorship for 22 years, will be sneaked out of the capital, Banjul, this evening – January 21st, 2016 – to begin a new life in exile.
According to latest reports from Banjul, Yahya Jammeh will be peacefully accompanied out of the country by President Alpha Conde of Guinea.

President Alpha Conde and Mauritania’s President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz came to Banjul amid high military tension from the regional forces to give Jammeh one last chance to leave the country in peace.
The pressure from the region, specially from the neighboring Senegal where the new President Adama Barrow was sworn-in in the Gambians’ embassy, was too much for Jammeh and his men to bear.
Before Jammeh came out publicly to declare his step down, the Chief of Defense Staff Ousman Bargie already assured that his men will surrender to the regional force led by ECOMIG, the Military Intervention Group for ECOWAS.
Although he declared support for Jammeh to maintain peace for the last two weeks, Ousman Bargie said his men will not fight for what he terms as a political misunderstanding.
Instead he went on to declare that Adama Barrow, the incoming president, is his new commander in Chief calling Jammeh the former President.
Jammeh came out afterward and said “as a Muslim and as a patriot, I believe that it is not necessary that any blood be shed”
“It is as a result of this that I have decided today (Friday) in good conscience to relinquish the mantle of leadership of this great nation.” Jammeh Continued.

West African leaders intervened in Sierra Leone and Liberia to end the rebel wars. And have done it once again for Gambia by avoiding blood shed. They are either Ecowas or Ecomog in solving problems in the region.
And Igad intervened in South Sudan to create more wars. Incoming government allied with dictators.
Every leader in Igad wants to rule for life. And true democracy in one Igad country is a threat to another Igad country.
