June 17, 2021 – The Unity State Minister of Cooperative and Rural Development Ms. Rebecca Geay Majok has passed on at age of 53 on Wednesday in Jordan.
Speaking to Nyamilepedia this afternoon, one of Majok’s relatives said the deceased had been suffering at least two years with what she called a “Brain Tumor” that disturbed her all the time.
“Before she was transferred to Jordan, Majok was in Cairo for almost two months undergoing a treatment which later resulted to little improvement,” she said.
Other media sources cited her elder brother Chuong Majok saying his sister had suffered for almost two years with brain problems.
“She was ill, suffering from a brain tumor, for almost two years. The last operation she underwent in Jordan happened two weeks ago,” Chuong was quoted to have said.
According to the Unity State Gubernatorial Press unit, Dr. Joseph Nguen Manytuil, Governor of Unity State in his condolence praised late Ms. Majok as a strong woman who spent her entire life to service delivery for the people of Unity State.
She left four children, two boys, and two girls.
