July 6, 2021 — The Governor of Unity State, Lt.Gen Joseph Nguen Manytuil Wecjang has on Monday presided over the swearing-in ceremony of Gabriel Majiok Bol as the new Commissioner of Panyinjiar County.
The oath taking ceremony was administered in the State General Secretariat by Judge Douth Kulang Gatwech.
In a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia, Governor Manytuil directed the newly appointed Commissioner to restore rule of law and promote peaceful coexistence between Panyinjiar County and neighboring Communities.
Manytuil assured the commitment of his leadership to support County authority specially on telecommunication network and drainage system in areas affected by the flood.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed Commissioner of Panyjiar County, Gabriel Majiok Bol said the priority of his leadership is to promote peace between neighboring Counties as well as with the Lakes State.
Majiok also acknowledged the significance role played by Governor Manytuil on deescalating the conflict that loomed on Panyinjiar County last month.
Panyinjiar has gone through security upheavals for many months and as a result two humanitarian workers were killed by unknown gunmen.
