June 16,2021 — The Unity State governor Dr. Joseph Nguen Manytuil Wicjang expressed his condolences over the untimely demise of the former Unity State deputy governor late. Mabek Lang De Mading who died of an undisclosed illness yesterday, June 15, 2021.
In a statement extended to Nyamilepedia, Manytuil expressed his sympathy to friends and immediate family of the deceased.Â
” I have learned with great great sorrow the passing on of the late Miabek Lang Mading. On behalf of the people and Government of Unity State, and on my own behalf, I send my deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolence to the family and friends for the passing on of Late. Miabek Lang Mading”, Unity State governor Manytuil said in the statement.
Manytuil also credited Late. Mabiek Lang as an extraordinary person and acknowledged the role he played during his tenure as deputy Governor in Unity state and also in Ruweng, describing him in nutshell as peace maker with Nationalistic attributes.Â
“Late. Miabek Lang was an extraordinary person who served the people of South Sudan during hard time and his legacy shall always be remembered”, he said “His death is a great loss to the people of South Sudan,Unity State and Ruweng Administrative Area specifically”, Manytuil added.Â
” During his tenure as Deputy Governor of Unity State Late.Miabek was known as a peacemaker and notably with the spirit of Nationalism. Hence, I pray the good Lord shall comfort his precious soul in Peace” he emphasized.
Late Mabek Lang was the first county commissioner of the former Pariang County in Unity State. He held the position of the deputy Governor of Unity State in 2013 until the declaration of Ruweng as state by President Kiir following the creation of the 28 states where he also served as deputy governor of Ruweng.
