August 6, 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s Unity state governor Joseph Nguen Manytuil Wijang has met the Leek community in his office in Bentiu on Wednesday, according to a statement by his office.
The statement seen by Nyamilepedia said the longest-serving Unit state governor discussed a range of issues that includes, but not limited to, employment of youth, security, and how to maintain peaceful co-existence between communities in Greater Rubkona and the state as a whole.
“The governor of Unity State, Lt. Gen. Dr. Joseph Manytuil met with Greater Leek Community Association in his office. The meeting emphasized on peaceful coexistence between Leek Community with their neighbors and the role to be played by oil companies,” the statement said.
“Governor Manytuil appreciated Greater Leek Community for the good hospitality of hosting difference communities in Greater Rubkona and added that the oil company must first prioritize the employment of host Community since they are exposed to environmental hazard and damage,” added the statement.
For his part, the acting chairperson of Leek Community Association John Juor Yoach “applauded Hon governor for the effort of achieving sustainable and durable peace in Unity state.”
