Sep 16,2021—The Union of Journalists of South Sudan (UJOSS) announced that it has started issuing identification cards for journalists in the country.
The UJOSS said those who are not residing in capital Juba should engage with UJOSS state coordination offices to facilitate their process in conjunction with this statement.
“The Union of Journalists of South Sudan informs all its members across the country that issuing of UJOSS ID Cards has commenced”, the UJOSS announces.
” Members who are not in Juba should coordinate with UJOSS offices in the state capitals in line with this”, the statement added.
In a statement issued by UJOSS National Executive Committee on Tuesday, journalists will be required to have ID to work in the country.
” Each member will have to fill a form, provide a passport size photo and pay a yearly subscription fee”,it emphasized in a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia.
The UJOSS also directed its members who are staying in the capital to pick up their application forms from UJOSS office, opposite the Shalina Pharmacy along Yei Road.
According to the statement, the forms will be availed to all media houses in Juba from tomorrow, Friday, September 17, 2021 but Journalists can also download the form from the UJOSS website, fill them out and send them back via email with all the requirements.
