July 16, 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan National Police Service (SSNPS) has said that a Ugandan national has been arrested for selling dog meat to locals.

The spokesman of the police Major General Daniel Justine Buolo said in a statement to journalists this morning that the foreigner was arrested on Thursday morning when locals in Juba reported his case to the authorities.

He said investigations were underway and the suspected will soon be produced in a court of law in the near future urging the public to be calm.

“This is to inform you that the police force has arrested a Ugandan national who has been selling meat for a very long time. He has been operating in the shop selling meet for five years, but it is not known when he began selling the dog meat,” Justin said.

“We call on our citizens to be calm. The police department of CID is working and very soon the suspect will be taken into a court of law to face justice,” the police spokesman said.
