December 4, 2021—The U.S. State Department’s War Crimes Rewards Program offers up million dollars for information leading to the arrest of designated individuals accused of war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity.
In a statement seen by Nyamilepedia, the U.S State Department’s War Crimes Rewards Program offers cash amounting to 5 millions dollars for information leading to the arrest of the internationally designated criminals.
Among the fugitives on Americans’ list of most wanted criminals is Joseph Konyi of the Lord’s Resistance Army, the Ugandan rebel leader, who fought Museveni government for more than 30 years.
“One of those fugitives is Joseph Kony, who leads the Lord’s Resistance Army and is accused of atrocity crimes in several African countries”,the statement added.
“The War Crimes Rewards Program has paid significant rewards for tips leading to the arrest and conviction of fugitives from numerous international and hybrid tribunals”, the statement reads.
According to the statement, the War Crimes Rewards Program actively seeks information on numerous fugitives from international justice, including those accused of war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity in Rwanda and Sudan.
The statement reveals that finding tips to get trace the location of the Ugandan opposition leader requires bravery.
“Providing a tip on the whereabouts of a criminal like Joseph Kony requires an act of bravery”,the statement further emphasized.
The War Crimes Rewards Program keeps personal information of tipsters strictly confidential.
“If you or anyone you know has information on Kony’s activities and whereabouts, you can provide it with complete confidentiality”, the U.S State Department’s War Crimes Rewards Program stated in a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia.
Joseph Kony is a Ugandan militant, who founded the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a Christian fundamentalist organization, designated as a terrorist group by the United Nations Peacekeepers, the European Union and various other governments.
