Sep 21, 2021—-The Security operatives in Tambura town of Western Equatoria State have shot dead three armed men found looting the abandoned homes in Tambura town over the weekend.
According to reports extended to Nyamilepedia, the three suspects were shot dead after attacking and looting abandoned homes in Tambura over the weekend.
“Security forces have shot dead three-armed men who reportedly attacked and looted abandoned homes in Tambura town of Western Equatoria state over the weekend”,Said in a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia.
The insiders claimed that the armed men also stormed the health centers in the town firing shots which forced security personnel to go to the scene and as a result they engaged in a gunfire which left the three attackers dead on spot.
“The attackers also invaded a school and health facility firing shoots which prompted security forces to rush to the scene leading to a gunfire exchange that led to the death of three of the attackers”,the statement added.
Tambura County has for the last two months witnessed violent clashes involving elements of the SPLA-IO and forces loyal to Gen. James Nando who defected from the SPLA-IO to the SSPDF last year.
Observers have also blamed rivalry by politicians who hail from the county for the continuous clashes which have at different times seen the Zande and Balanda tribes fighting.
