September 27, 2021—- Latest reports from Western Equatoria state confirmed that at least three people were found dead as a result of the latest attack in Nzara County, Western Equatoria State.
According to the eye witnesses, the incident reportedly took place on Saturday at night in Sakuri Boma.
In a statement seen by Nyamilepedia, one of the victims has been identified as the father of Yambio town mayor, John Singira.
Police inspector in the area confirmed that an armed man attacked the house of John Singira and shot him dead.
“Unknown gunmen attacked and killed person identified as Singira, about 62 years old,” Michael Zachariah quoted by Eye Radio on Sunday to have said.
Zachariah said, the other two are the wife of the former commissioner of defunct Sakure County and her 3-year-old daughter.
The local official revealed that the motive behind the attack remains unknown so far since everyone has taken laws into her/his own hands in the country.
However, Zakaria confirmed that police have arrested a suspect believed to be the perpetrator and now is under police custody where investigations will take place.
