May 26th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Two people have been killed and one other wounded after suspected gunmen from Northern Liech’s Mayom county attacked Abiemnom this afternoon, a Ruweng state official told the Nyamilepedia on Sunday.
The official who declined not to be named said all of the victims including the wounded were teachers and blamed the attack on gunmen from Mayom county.
“The victims, the two which were killed and the one wounded, were teachers. The gunmen from Mayom county of Northern Liech attacked Kolongang inside Abiemnom and killed the two and wounded the other one,” the source told the Nyamilepedia.
“It took place this afternoon between 11:00AM and 12:00PM,” the official added.
He said the authorities were still pursuing the attackers and said efforts are underway to coordinate the search for the criminals.
