Oct 3, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — Excited by the signing of the Sudan Comprehensive Peace Agreement in the South Sudanese capital, Juba, the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, sees prosperity, development and “recovery of well deserved rights” for his country and his people.
The Sudanese Prime Minister gives votes of thanks to the leaders and the people of Sudan and South Sudanese peace mediators for moving his country through what he calls “First Steps” and looks forward to begin the next steps.
“I thank our delegation led by the First Deputy Speaker of the Sovereignty Council, Team, members of the Sovereignty Council, ministers, experts, technicians and civil society organizations, and everyone who contributed to achieving this historic agreement.” Dr. Abdalla Hamdok said.
According to Hamdok, the peace agreement that was celebrated this afternoon is a product of a year’s long-lasting efforts and successive talks that were full of compromises and understanding.
“This peace we celebrated today is the product of a year’s long-lasting effort and successive talks, which worked for the success of various state institutions, led by our government delegation.” Dr. Hamdok said.
Hamdok thanks the armed opposition for all their corporation and efforts to make this peace memorable and achievable.
“It was a great effort with which we achieved our country’s first steps towards a just comprehensive peace, and I also thank the spirit of partnership with our fellow armed struggle movements and the South Sudan Mediation Team.” Hamdok said.
Dr. Hamdok acknowledges the women who led the Sudan’s revolution from December 2019 and attributes to their success the success of the nation and hopes for freedom, peace and justice to reign.
“This peace we put for our first daughters now is people’s peace, future peace, Sudan’s freedom, peace, and justice revolution… which will pave the way for the recovery of well deserved rights. Peace, greeting, and manifestation first and last to the martyrs in all times.” The Prime Minister continued.
