June 30th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The government of the neighboring Sudan which is mediating between representatives of parties to the South Sudan conflict have unveiled a security arrangement proposal which seek to create a peaceful atmosphere during the transitional period.
The document seen by the Nyamilepedia outline how the parties could implement the security arrangement with in the next six months of commencement.
It provides for the demilitarization of civilian centers from all aspects of military presence during the pre-transitional period which expires in 90 days from the date of its signature and reunification of forces within the possible shorter time rather than the initial period provided for in the ARCISS signed by Kiir and Machar in August 2015.
The proposal seek to assemble the forces belonging to the opposition out side towns and in areas to be agreed upon by the parties including the government of the Republic of South Sudan while government troops in the town be reduced but not full evacuated as also provided for the ARCISS.
Kiir and Machar signed on Wednesday a permanent ceasefire agreement which commenced early today. Both of them have declared the permanent ceasefire and have ordered forces to remain in their current defensive position and observe the ceasefire.
