July 20th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan government on Thursday has accused the government of the neighboring Sudan of confusing the ongoing talks blaming the Sudanese Foreign Minister of not being honest to himself and misleading the international community.
The accusation by the South Sudan government came barely a week after the Sudanese foreign minister told journalists in the Sudanese capital Khartoum that all the South Sudanese parties have agreed to a proposal the mediation presented last week.
In a remark to the state-ran South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), the country’s information minister Michael Makuei Lueth said the Sudanese foreign minister was not honest to himself when he announced that all parties agreed to its proposal.
“The minister has not been honest with himself; he has not been genuine; and since the time he gave us the first draft, he declared that he had discussed with the parties and that the parties had agreed it,” Mr. Makuei said
He accused the Sudanese Foreign Minister of confusing and misleading the international community when he announced that all the parties agreed to sign peace on Tuesday.
“He is the one who is misleading the international community, he is misleading the region and misleading even the heads and governments of IGAD. Otherwise if he was genuine the situation would have not been like this,” Makuei further said.
