November 10th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The United States dollar has reached an unprecedented stage against the Sudanese Pound as the country’s economy deteriorates.
Trades in the black market in Khartoum told the Nyamilepedia this afternoon that the dollar price is traded between 81 and 82 Sudanese pounds saying some in certain areas already charges 85 for $1.
“One US dollar is 81, 82 [Pounds] and some in certain areas are buying at 85, there is a situation of anarchy in the Sudanese marketing of dollar,” a trader in Khartoum told the Nyamilepedia this afternoon.
Meanwhile the Central Bank of Sudan set the price at 45 pounds for $1.
The development on Sudan’s currency is an unprecedented stage as country cope with ruin of President Omar al-Bashir’s 30-year-old dictatorship.
