“Sudan and its army do not interfere in the internal issues of neighbouring Ethiopia or other countries,” said Spokesman Abu Haja.
The army spokesman said the accusations by the Ethiopia government reflects the level of frustration the Ethiopian regime is currently facing as it violates the rights of its people.
“This statement reflects the harsh reality faced by the Ethiopian regime because of the continuing violations of the rights of the (Ethiopian) people,” he added.
Sudan and Ethiopia have differences over the border area of Al-Fashaga and also have diplomatic standoff over the operation of Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam(GERD) as Sudan and Egypt are calling for a legally binding agreement to guarantee a regular exchange of water data to protect its dams but their calls are not being honored by the Ethiopian government.
In November 2020, the federal government engaged in conflicts with Tigray region that triggered a civil war which has displaced hundreds of thousands of civilians.
According to aid groups at least 900,000 people in Tigray are already in famine conditions, meanwhile at least five million others are in dire need of humanitarian assistance.
