September 10th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – A SPLA officer has shot a young man in the capital Juba without coming into argument with him, several sources told the Nyamilepedia on Monday.

The incident, one source said,  took place at the capital’s main market,  the Juba Market this morning leaving the young man in a very critical condition.

The man was shot four times in his stomach but did not die and relatives had to rush him to the Juba teaching hospital.

“A SPLA officer has shot four times in the stomach a young man who was walking in the midst of Juba market but he did not die and he has been taken to the Juba hospital,” the source said.

Another source who also told the Nyamilepedia on the condition of anonymity said the assailants were five in numbers but none was apprehended as police were reluctant to arrest them getting away very quickly.

It is the second time in two day such incidents took place in the capital Juba. On Saturday night,  the governor of Northern Liech State Joseph Nguen was almost killed during a bomb attack when a car of a group of unknown gunmen failed to kill him after throwing a hand grenade at him.

Police said they are still searching for the culprit but have not made any official statement regarding the incident.
