February 27th 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – Senior SPLA-IO generals are not happy about the return of first vice-president Dr. Riek Machar’s return to Juba without proper security arrangements, senior opposition officials said on Thursday.

Machar last week decided to return to Juba to take up his position as First Vice President after Kiir retuned the country to its original take states after the opposition demanded that he revoke the controversial 32 states before the government is formed.

Speaking to Nyamilepedia this morning, an opposition official who refused to be identified said from the Sudanese capital Khartoum that several opposition military general including the chief of staff Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual, were not happy about the return of Machar to Juba without proper security arrangement.

“These people were not happy including the chief of staff [Gen. Gatwech Dual] because we should not rush to Juba,” the senior opposition official said.

“This will be discussed next week by the leadership of the SPLA-IO,” the opposition official said.
