“This morning I left Juba for Tokyo, Japan where I will be attending the Olympics opening ceremony on Friday, July 23rd at the National Stadium in Tokyo”, Nyandeng said in a brief statement extended to Nyamilepedia.

The VP said there are South Sudanese sportsmen in Japan whom she confirmed will take part in the forthcoming Tokyo games.

“Already we have South Sudanese athletes in Japan and they are participating in 2021 Tokyo games”, she added in a statement.
