July 8th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s former First Vice-President Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon have returned to the Sudanese capital Khartoum in company of the Sudanese President Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir after attending the face-to-face meeting between him and President Salva Kiir Mayardiit.
The Kampala talks between Kiir and Machar were hosted by the Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni and the Sudanese President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir. The meeting is the third of its kind since July 2016 after then transitional period ended following clashes at J1.
The SPLM-IO Director of the national Committee for Information and Public Relations Puok Both Baluang told the Nyamilepedia this afternoon that the opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny has returned to the Sudanese capital on Saturday night.
He said Machar was accompanied by the Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir aboard the Sudanese Presidential Jet.
The face-to-face meeting between Kiir and Machar agreed on Saturday that Machar be reinstated to the First Vice-President position and that the country would be administered on the basis of the current 32 states until a independent boarder commission would decide and make recommendations over the number of state.
The two also agreed that the country would be administered by the Presidency which would be made up of the President and Four Vice Presidents.
