September 12th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s main armed opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar has left the capital Juba heading to Khartoum where he has been living since mid last year, officials allied to him said this afternoon.
Machar arrived in the capital Juba on Monday with his delegation accompanied by Sudan’s deputy chairperson of the Sovereignty Council General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo who is also nicknamed Hemeti.
He discussed with President Kiir issues impeding the implementation of the revitalized peace deal and agreed to form a committee to look and deliberate into the report of the Independent Boundaries Commission (IBC).
As result of his visit, Machar also decided to move its headquarters to Juba. One of his official told the Nyamilepedia on Wednesday that it would be irrelevant to work from outside the capital saying because the war has ended.
