The visit by the South Sudanese head of state will focus on discussion of bilateral ties between the two countries and will as well discuss the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement signed by Kiir and opposition groups last year.

“The president will be here on Wednesday for a two-day visit. He will stay here from Wednesday to Friday,” Joseph Muom Majak, South Sudan ambassador to Cairo told the Nyamilepedia on Tuesday.

Under regiopnal and international pressure, president Kiir in September last year signed a revitalized peace agreement with his rival, Dr. Riek Machar who is leading the main armed opposition group, the SPLM-IO.

The deal will keep Kiir and the President for a period of thirty-six (36) months against will of the opposition that he “must go” and Machar will be reinstated as the First Vice Presient, a position her held prior to July 2016 outbreak of violent in the nation’s capital Juba.
