Sept 4, 2019(Nyamilepedia) — South Sudan president, Salva Kiir Mayardit, received Ha Byung, the Ambassador of South Korea and other six dimplotes today at his compound, J1.
The six other diplomats, who presented their credentials to Mr. Kiir, include the ambassador of the United Kingdom H.E. Chris Trott, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E. Manuel Muller, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Ali bin Hassan, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy H.E. Artur Luzzi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway H.E. Siv Kaspersen and Ambassador of the Republic of Georgia, H.E. Zurab Dvalisahili.
Presenting their credentials to President Kiir, the seven ambassadors pledged their desire to work closely with the people of South Sudan.
Despite the civil war and dwindling economy, South Sudan stands among the hubs of the continent that continue to attract foreign interests; however, the young nation is crippled by war as President Kiir struggles to stay in power.
South Sudan has closed down most of its embassies overseas due to insufficient budget.
A peace agreement that was signed in September last year continues to face difficulties and stands to collapse as the current government is being accused of tactical delays in funding the required security arrangements and other pre-transitional period modalities.
