September 15th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – A new faction of the South Sudan United Movement (SSUM/A) founded and previously led by General Peter Gatdet Yaka has unveiled a new leadership, officials told the Nyamilepedia on Saturday.
Juan Dar, who was the spokesman of the unified SSUM/A told the Nyamilepedia on Friday that their group has never elected a leadership since General Peter Gatdet’s demise in mid April.
He said Denay Chagor who had been tasked with leading the movement for three months before conducting elections failed to deliver what he had been tasked to do.
“Denay Jok, is attempting to divide SSUM/SSUAF. Thus, he lost the confidence of the leadership as a unifying factor,” three strong members of the group said in a statement extended to Nyamilepedia.
Engineer James Rab Gollong has been elected the new leader of the South Sudan United Movement (SSUM/A) until elections have been held.
