Nov 16, 2018(Nyamilepedia) — South Sudan Presidency invited all media houses on Monday 12 to cover the opening ceremony for an official launching of a detailed technical drawing and architectural plan of Ramciel, South Sudan’s new capital city.
“All media outlets are kindly invited to come to cover the opening ceremony of the Launch of Ramciel Masterplan. The Ramciel Technical Committee under the guidance of the First Vice President of the Republic is organizing a technical workshop for the master plan of the new City, Ramciel” the Presidency announced.
In a brief statement twitted on a social media page, the press secretary in the office of Taban Deng Gai, Agel Machar, said the new blueprint is not only intended to lay the foundation for the long-awaited new capital City of South Sudan but it will also serve as a commercial hub for innovative youths
“The goal for the master plan is not only [coming] up with a modern Executive Capital City but also [ to] design a new commercial hub which will offer the youth opportunities for employment, training, and innovation. The new city will be the pride of a Nation which will offer a new exciting page for the people of the Republic of South Sudan” the statement said.
Adding that the historical opening ceremony for the launching of the master plan is going to be an event that will bring together a consortium of different companies and firms that have been right behind the Technical Committee.
“The launch of the technical workshop will involve the consortium of companies designing the master plan alongside the relevant ministries.
Among the invited guests will be representatives from the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Korea.
“Partners, the Kingdom of Morocco and the Korean Republic will be in attendance” he added.
In February last year, the Kingdom of Morocco signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government and pledged to pay an amount of $5 million, feasibility study budget for the relocation of the current capital city, Juba.
