South Sudan Protestors Could Have Jeopardized The Position of The Government They Want To Protect

July 21, 2016(Nyamilepedia)  —– The action of the South Sudan protestors may seem relevant or most needed to protect the sovereignty of their young country, however, it could only jeopardize the situation for president Kiir’s administration.

While the region and the international community are calling for immediate actions to prevent escalation of massacres and human rights violations in the country, Salva Kiir’s supporters, who marched to the streets today in the capital have most likely justified why South Sudan needs a foreign intervention.

While observers and intellectuals believe that an optimal way to encounter foreign intervention would be to justify that the country’s leadership is capable and able to prevent or end conflicts and provide services to their people, the angry protestors justify that South Sudan could be a war zone if left alone to solve its own problems.

Chanting war songs of “we will never never surrender” – similar to war songs that triggered the conflict in December 2013 – the protesters declared war on IGAD, UN and African Union and call on all the foreign missions to leave their country and leave them alone.

Contrary, the international community is too concern that with such war mentality these people cannot be left alone to repeat Rwanda genocide in 2016 and therefore a “no-nonsense” foreign force must be immediately convened to intervene before the situation escalates to a full scale war.

On the other hand, Mr. Salva Kiir’s leadership is not any different. The president and his chief of staff for the army, on their part, have declared to fight any foreign intervention, which simply justifies that the leadership believes in military solutions.

“We will not accept even a single soldier” President Salva Kiir told media in Juba.

Echoing sentiments that have been repeatedly said by IGAD and TROIKA leaders, the “outrage” Secretary-Generall of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, has lost hopes in a failed leadership of South Sudan.

Yet again, the leaders of South Sudan have failed their people. Rarely has a country squandered so much promise so quickly. What kind of leadership is it that resorts to deadly weapons and identity politics? Time and again, failed leadership.” Ban said in a briefing on July 11.

Deaths to foreign aggressors. Die liberating the country with evil foreigners. We wanted separation so South Sudanese can manage their own affairs.

The killers in Rwanda at the time who also wanted no UN troops interfering in their plans for genocide are either dead or jailed for life. That a group of men occupying the highest offices, planning and executing attacks (as was proven very conclusively by the AU and IGAD study on the Juba 2013 genocide) organize a “rent-a-crowd” is sickening.

Kiir is not inviting resources to stop fighting, on the contrary, he wants to continue killing civilians all around South Sudan. He fears getting caught so he is in breach of UN rules allowing free and unhindered access everywhere in South Sudan. He prevents access for Humantarian access to many people in need. At the same time he and his cronies sit in their palace organizing for people to demonstrate so they may stay in their palaces.

South Sudan needs to put under the united nations trusteeship period. Killer nyankiir and malong shouldn’t be allowed to fooled the international community again.
