South Sudan Presidency hosts Iftar Dinner for Muslim Community

May 9, 2021 — South Sudan presidency, comprising of the President, First Vice President and four Deputy Presidents, held Ramadan Iftar dinner this morning at the Freedom Hall to observe the holy month of Ramadan.

“H.E. President Salva Kiir has on Sunday 9th May 2021, hosted Iftar dinner for Muslim Community in Juba at Freedom Hall, observing the holy month of Ramadan.” Said South Sudan Presidency.

According to presidential press unit, the Islamic event was attended by the First Vice President and Vice Presidents , members of the diplomatic corps, constitutional Post holders, and Muslim community.

Speaking at the Iftar dinner, President Salva kiir Mayardit said, what is happening in South Sudan is not happening in so many Countries, that we have agreed and accepted to stay together as one South Sudanese family regardless of our different ethnic and religion groups and urged all the South Sudanese to keep it on with the spirit of solidarity and unity.

President Salva Kiir said that this occasion marks as a reminder that “whatever our faith, we’re all one family.”

The President Urged the Muslim Community to continue to pray to Allah to guide us to address our national issues. The President said, he prays for the Muslim community to continue with their fasting in good health and faith.
