South Sudan parliament condemns killing of university lecturer

January 14th 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan parliament has condemned Sunday’s killing of a Juba university lecturer by a group of unknown gunmen in the capital Juba.

The late Bol Chol, a lecturer in the college of Law, was gunned down by unknown gunmen around the Kubri-Habuba area as he disembarked from a public transport vehicle last Sunday evening.

Juba University students yesterday protested the killing and marched to the National Assembly and delivered their petition demanding justice for the deceased.

The Chairperson of the Information Committee in the National Legislative Assembly, Paul Yoane Bonju, said the parliament they “have received the student’s petition and they will work with the relevant security organs to arrest the perpetrators and ensure justice.”
