South Sudan oil and finance ministers meet Sudan’s Hemeti in Khartoum

July 11th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s newly appointed petroleum minister, Awow Daniel, and the minister of finance , Salvatore Garang along with a huge delegation on Thursday arrived in the Sudanese capital Khartoum and met Sudan’s deputy head of the ruling military junta.

Daniel was accompanied by the country’s undersecretary in the ministry of foreign affairs, Mayen Wol and the managing director of the Nilepet company Chol Deng Thon.

“The parties discussed issues pertaining smooth oil transit via the Republic of Sudan, sharing prosperity and common interest as oil diplomacy is concerned,” a source at foreign ministry told Nyamilepedia on Thursday.

Another source said the delegation will discuss the operationalization of reopening of borders agreement signed by the two countries last year.
