June 4, 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan president Salva Kiir Mayardit has sworn in his new minister for presidential affairs, Nhial Deng Nhial, who was appointed to replace Mayiik Ayii Deng on Tuesday.
The presidential press unity said in a statement this afternoon that the ceremony was administered by chief justice Chan Reec Madut and was witnessed by president Kiir, vice-president Taban Deng and Rebecca Garang and some senior government officials.
“H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit presided over the swearing in ceremony of Nhial Deng Nhial as the new Minister of Presidential Affairs in the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity,” the presidency state said in the statement seen by Nyamilepedia.
“The swearing in ceremony was administered by the Chief Justice, Chan Reech Madut at the Office of the President before senior government officials and SPLM cadres,” the statement added.
