South Sudan Ministry of information lost two officials

 

Oct 11, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — South Sudan’s Ministry of Information Communication, Telecommunication & Postal Service has lost two officials to various illness in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, this week.

The Ministry of ICT&PS, and SSBC has lost the Undersecretary for Information Paul Jacob Kumbo who passed on in the Sudanese Capital, Khartoum today.

While the Ministry’s Undersecretary Paul Jacob Kumbo passed on this afternoon, a senior SSBC-TV presenter Buthiena Muhamed Salih died three days ago also in Khartoum, Sudan.

Although the ministry and their families are yet to release the causes of their death, information from relatives and friends indicate that both officials have been sick for a while.

The Undersecretary Paul Jacob Kumbo, who previously served in the same Ministry as Director General, was rushed to Khartoum last month in attempt to safe his life after hospitals in Juba failed to offer effective treatment.

His death was announced by the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation this afternoon which invite friends, colleagues and relatives to express their sympathy.

“SBC family and the Ministry of ICT&PS, has lost the Undersecretary for Information, Paul Jacob Kumbo who passed on in Khartoum, Sudan. God gives and takes. May His Soul Rest in Peace.”

Many relatives and friends who were shocked and sadden by the news poured in words of condolences.

“May your Soul Rest In Peace my former director Paul Jacob Kumbo the Undersecretary for Information who passed in the Sudanese Capital, Khartoum.” Peter Louis sent his condolences to his family.

“Unfortunate. May God Rest his soul in eternal glory. The late was my friend and my masters student in the Institute of Peace, Development and Security Studies, University of Juba. He was always punctual. What a great lost!” John Giriwa said.

“Very sad news, on the behalf of the entire staff of SSBC Wau Office , I would like to convey our deep sorry and condolences for the death of Mr. Paul Jacob the undersecretary of Information RSS-Juba, really it is a greatest lost for the family of media Houses, RIP May Director” Louis Aleu send his sympathy.

In another shocking news on Friday, the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation learned the death of one of the senior employees of the SSBC and the Ministry of Information, Buthiena Muhamed Salih, who passed on after battling a long illness.

Buthiena  started working for the SSBC back in 1983 when it used to be a radio station called the Radio Juba. She had served many roles until recently.

At the time of her death she was an Arabic News Anchor, a very experienced journalist.

Waking up to the news of her death on Friday, many South Sudanese sent in their words condolences, mourning her passing on.

“Oh sorry to her sudden demise. I remenber how she hosted me for last year Christmas program and i noted her intellegence and expertise in her profession. Inna le allahi we ina ilehi rajaun! RIP” Said Richard Okello.

“It’s horrible devastation ! I’m so terribly sad and sorry to hear this terrible news about the untimely death and under savage circumstances dear co-hots of SSBC . Our prayers and thoughts for her family” Said Jimmy Ellekson

“Rest in peace my beloved sister. Your untimely departure left us in disbelief. However, you have answered and obeyed God’s call. May His precious name be glorified. Condolences to the bereaved family and friends.” Said Wilson Apollo.
