South Sudan gov’t official killed by landmine in Central Equatoria

May 14th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – A South Sudan government official was killed while four others were wounded on Monday after their car struck a landmine, government officials in the country’s Jubek state said on Monday.

Samuel Lemi Yoseke – the commissioner of Wonduruba country – was killed after his car struck a landmine according to state government officials.

The Jubek state government said four of those in the car with the commissioner and wounded were being treated at Juba’s Teaching Hospital.

“Yesterday morning on their way back to Juba according to the information from the soldiers they stepped on a landmine. The Commissioner died instantly with one of the guards,” said state information minister, Stephen Juma.
