November 1st 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – A high-level South Sudan government delegation is in the Sudanese capital Khartoum to mobilize for formation of the Reconstituted Transitional Government of National Unity on November 12th.

The country is aimed at forming a unity government this month but a dispute over outstanding issues between the government and opposition groups has thrown that action into uncertainty.

President Kiir’s government said it will form the unity government on time. For their parts, opposition groups such as SPLM-IO and NDM have said they won’t be part of that government unless the outstanding issues are settled.

The delegation which arrived in the Sudanese capital on Friday was led by President Kiir’s security advisor and chair of National Pre-Transitional Committee Tut Gatluak and includes minister of electricity and dams Dhieu Mathok.

Speaking to reporters upon arrival at Khartoum airport, Mathok said that the delegation is coming to deliver a message from President Kiir to the leader of Sudan’s ruling Sovereignty Council Abdel Fatah al-Burhan.

Mathok said the message is “concerning the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement negotiated in Khartoum and signed in Addis Ababa last year.

Mathok said the two counties “are currently holding continuous consultations on the peace process, especially on the formation of the transitional government of national unity scheduled for Nov. 12.
