February 11th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan army on Saturday reportedly clashed with unknown rebel group in Northern Bahr Al-Ghazal state.

Sources have told the Nyamilepedia that the clashes occurred on Saturday morning south of Kiir Adem area causing panic among the civil population.

“They were fighting on Saturday morning.  We knew the South Sudan army was involved, but with who,  we didn’t know,” the source who declined to be named told the Nyamilepedia.

There are reports that some rebel defectors from the South Sudan Patriotic Movement (SSPM) led by Costello Garang had fought the group itself before reporting themselves to Wunkyik barrack.

It is not clear if the army is in fact involved as the Nyamilepedia was unable to reach the military spokesman by the time.
