Dec 15, 2021 — The Roman Catholic faith-based community of Sant’Egidio has began holding security workshops for the hold-out groups to reduce escalating violence in Equatorian region.
In a report extended to Nyamilepedia, the security workshop began yesterday, December 14, 2021 and will last until December 17th to deliberate on a road-map that will mitigate military offensives between the government and the rebels.
“The aim of the workshop is to train the focal points on how to coordinate activities between CTSAMVM and SSOMA, as workshop will run for three days from 14th-17th December 2021” reads part of the statement extended to Nyamilepedia.
According to Maj. Philip Deng Kuol Nguot, the deputy spokesman of SSUF/A of Gen. Paul Malong Awan, the workshops are being held in Nairobi, Kenya.

Maj. Deng said the leadership of the South Sudan United Front/Army, has accepted the workshop for peace to hold in the region and the entire country.
According to the insider, the main objective of the workshop is to curb massive assaults on the ground whereby both forces are going to be monitored.
It is widely believe that the return of peace to the region will help humanitarian agencies to have access to populations facing immense sufferings in the country.
The leadership of SSUF/A and partners also see this a significant step to open doors that were closed by the regime in Juba and that will pave a way toward the ongoing political dialogue in Rome.
This security workshop was supposed to be held in Addis Ababa on September 02 but was postponed due to the ongoing conflict in Ethiopia and since then plans have been underway to have it hosted in Nairobi, Kenya.
